I took 13 days to finish this entry, so READ! Hahaha..

This is the 2nd trip overseas in 2 months, the last being vietnam. Oh crap, i forgot to blog about that. Well, vietnam is boring. Lots of walking, jungle trips, tunnels, pulling muscles in tunnels, nothing to buy, aggressive stall holders, very warm weather. Photos are on my Facebook. Everything looks much nicer in photo.

Alright, back to Taiwan.

1st day. We landed at around 4+pm. Blah blah blah until 5pm then got outside the airport to find our awaiting transport. It takes about an hour for us to get to our hotel from the airport. But in Taiwan, the sky starts to turn dark from 5.30pm and the feeling is so weird. At around 6pm you will feel like it’s 8pm cos it’s so dark.

Our hotel is fabulous! A business hotel, the room is better than 5 stars hotels. 3 tvs, 1 in the bathroom and jacuzzi big enough for 4. Perfect. The hotel is located on 忠孝东路, which is one stop away from Taipei 101. So we had our 1st meal in 101 foodcourt, which was expensive and tastes like singapore’s. Btw, 1st day was 18 degrees. Cooling, and one jacket is enough. Oh and they show the temperature on some buildings.

Since it was quite late after dinner, we headed to a pub. It’s quite relaxing to have a beer in a cooling weather.

2nd day. Rise and shine! This day we went down to Xi Men Ding and here we start our shopping! After awhile of shopping, I realised that almost every shop sells the same thing at almost the same price. And they are all selling winter stuffs which nobody needs in Sg.

We had our lunch at the toilet restaurant where the food wasnt really nice. So dont bother going there.

At night, we went to RaoHe Night Market which the hotel staff said it’s 15mins walk away. But actually it’s half an hour away. -.- Dinner was from roadside stalls, abit of this and that. Taiwanese loves their dogs alot, so lots of stalls selling dog’s stuff and their dogs are really adorable! On this day it was also 17-18 degrees.

When we got back to the hotel we made full use of the jacuzzi! Ah, a luxury. But i soaked for too long and almost fainted. Lol. This was the only time we use the jacuzzi cos the next few days we got back very late.

1st Night Market.

3rd day. This day is when the 寒流 starts. The temperature dropped to 10 degrees. Omg. We werent prepared for this at all. Everyone of us is wear a few layers of clothes to keep us warm man.

Since we’re tourist, we went to one tourist attraction, the 中正纪念堂. We reached there just in time to see the soldiers changing shifts. They’re so well coordinated!

It was too cold to let my hands leave my pocket thus photos are getting lesser. Hahaha.

At night we went to Partyworld! Their sound system is great! But price is just abit cheaper than Sg.

4th day. Early morning we went to visit the hotspring place. We initially was planning to try out the hotspring but it was too freaking cold to even walk! Let alone take off clothes! It was around 8-9 degrees lor. Cold until we can see our breaths man. So we just took a few pictures and quickly take the train to 淡水.

At 淡水 it was even colder!! OMG. We practically ran to the 1st shop to buy gloves and caps. And walk a few shops we have to find some restaurants or whatever to warm ourselves. Hot chocolate never tasted so heartwarming before. We walked until a point where our faces were numbed by the cold that we dont even feel the wind against our cheeks.

After that, we went to the famous Shilin Night Market. And the weather’s even colder at night. -.- It’s so unbearable that we only shopped there for awhile. Most of the things are same as other places also.

5th day. Today’s our last full day so we decided to spilt into 2 groups to go to the places we wanted to go. For mine, we went back to Xi Men Ding then to some shopping center on the way back to our hotel. Mostly this day is for buying things that people asked us to buy.

Then we went back hotel to slack, then to TGIF for dinner, then CLUB! Yes, i go clubbing with my mum and cousins. LOL. When the club just open for business we got in, then slowly the crowd starts coming in. It’s just like sg, except i nv saw anyone stripping down to their lingerie and do lapdance on guys.

I went RWS for Boyslikegirls concert last night.

Actually I’ve never heard of them before, I tune in to 933 only. But turns out some of their songs are not too bad. A very short concert though, 75mins. It’s free anyway. =)

Didn’t have the chance to take a look at RWS, cos it’s dark and we were rushing. Saw part of a castle though. And casino entrance.

The concert was held in a ballroom and it’s standing concert. All I remember was loud music, muffled voices, glaring lights and crazy young girls. Lots.

I always forgot what websites i want to visit when i get home, remembering them when i’m at work. This is so frustrating. I need some supplements to boost my memory.

The older i get, the more i shun away from people.

I think there’s a curse in our office, the curse of single. Lol. You see, we designers and programmers are seated in a ‘cluster’, all facing a blank wall like classroom style. And it so happens that everyone sitting there is single, 7 girls and 1 guy. 3 have already hit their 30s while 5 of us are in our 20s. But the rest of the company are happily attached.

So do you think it’s a curse? Or are we not attractive enough? Hahaha..

Don’t judge me by the house i live in.

2009 started off rather depressing, and ended with not much change.

It was a year full of 21st birthday celebrations, including my own. 2009 also saw the birth of Ryan, who has kept us all free from worries upon seeing him.

I also had a changed of job, which is a much better one compared to the last two.

Family problems changed for the worse, which i foresee will be more complicated in 2010.

Saw true colours of some people, and learnt not to trust anyone. Which resulted in me becoming boring and keeping to myself towards the end of 2009.

In 2009 i also realised i lacked friends, but i’ve since learnt to rely on myself and became more brave.

I’ve also lowered my expectations for people, cos i dont want to be disappointed every now and then.

Went on my first ever company trip too.

On a happier note, i improved my singing. (That’s what i think) =]

For 2010, i hope everything will be simple and i can keep working in the company. Oh, and lose some fats.

That’s it, less hope = less disappointment.

Now as I’m on my way to work I suddenly remember I can blog on the phone. Lol.

It’s already 26th august. I shall start with xueqi’s birthday celebration on 7th august.

Me and rena went to get her present straight after work then went to meet the rest at Clarke quay. As usual, everyone is late. Haha.

Xueqi treated us to Mr. Curry at The Central which was quite cheap and nice. She like the present we gave her but I only have one photo. Mindy! Where are the photos! Lol. Here the only one I have.

After dinner and phototaking, we went pub to meet up with Mindy’s bf and friends.

Xueqi and Xavier left at 1+am cos you know, xueqi sleeps early. Haha. So the rest of us was there playing and drinking. We opened a bottle of liquor (I forgot what we drank), played some stupid but funny games, then drank some beer, and opened another bottle of the same thing.

We finally left the pub extremely drunk at 4+am. Drunk but still conscious k. Lol.

So that’s about it for that day.

I think 2 Saturdays ago we met to watch Up 3D. Some weekday in between we also watched Ice Age 3D.

I’ve got my camera! It’s a Panasonic Lumix LX-3! Go google if you don’t know how it looks like. I’m lazy to google and save the picture.

It’s a camera which is in between compact and dslr. It can let you adjust shutter speed etc like dslr except you can’t change the lens.

I’ll post some photos when I have the time. Lol.

I’m sick with flu!

Dont know why, i’ve lost the feel to blog lately. Maybe it’s the limited time i have at home.

Hmmm.. Let’s go back to 2 weeks ago. My uncle from the US came to singapore for a short holiday with his wife and 4 kids. The 4 kids are cute, but the cutest is the youngest one!

He’s so OMG freaking cute!

My uncle and his wife is chinese but dont know why their kids all look like ang moh. Maybe cos they are born in US? Lol..

Cute eh? I miss him so much! No chance of seeing him unless i fly to USA!

Now most of my days are spent working and working. Except for weekends, where i have Korean lessons together with Rena! 안녕하세요! (It means “Hello”)

Just this monday i witness 2 minor but dangerous accidents.

One is while i was waiting to cross the road, a motorcycle skidded on his right turn. It was just like what they show on tv, but hundred times more shocking to see it real life. But luckily the motorcyclist was alright. Seeing this discouraged me a little in considering to take motorcycle license. Hahaha..

Two is after the first accident, i was on the escalator down to the Mrt. I was reaching the bottom when an old lady 2 ppl in front of me fell down on her back. I dont know how that happen but i just jumped to the side and everyone was so panicky. Luckily again, someone pulled her up before there was a jam on the escalator.

Phew~

Oh and also, last saturday after our korean lesson, me and rena went to toilet and was the last to take the lift down. When we reached the lift, we heard someone pressed the lift alarm and we saw our korean teacher trapped in the lift! OMG! So i ran downstairs while rena standby upstairs. Then i went up with the CC person to help open the lift.

Initially i tried to pull open the lift doors while the CC person turn the key but i not enough strength ah. So we changed places and finally the door opened. Lucky lucky.

Finally, i shall end with one last photo of Bryden poking Lulu. He likes to poke, pull Lulu’s ear and skin and hit her head like basketball, but Lulu just very quietly sit there let him do those. Lol.

Woo this few days have been so happening!

Monday night i was waiting for my mum to bring my dinner home and she came back with dinner and my cousin. They say they going OCC drink and chit chat then ask me want to go anot. Since it’s kinda boring at home so i drove us there.

We drank one white wine which is quite nice. 有什么我不知 group, next time we go there k, there nobody one! Lol. We went home at 12am, i drove in a not very clear-minded state, but i got drive carefully hor. Thank goodness i still can wake up the next day to go to work, but the whole day i was so tired.

Tuesday is rest day! I slept before 10pm!

Wednesday is LADIES NIGHT! After 2+years i finally step into a club!

I met sihui after work then we had dinner at clarke quay. After dinner we walked around to check out the clubs we were planning to go but out of the 4, 2 had events going on so cant go in. So we ended up at Dbl O at 8+pm. We were one of the first few there. Hahaha. But it was quite nice, still can slowly drink and chit chat.

Since all the drinks are free flow, i had my first Bombay Sling Shot, where the 2nd shot followed closely behind. Lol. Before we left Dbl O at 10+, we had 2 more shots. Hahaha.

So on the way to Attica, the shots started to take effect and we started to talk abit loud. Queued awhile to get into Attica and the people who checked IDs said something to us but i kinda forgot already. Haha.

We have 5 free drinks each, so we tried tequila shots first. Then we dont know what other drinks they have, so we ordered 2 more each. THEN, we were rushing for the last train so we used up the last 2 coupons on tequila shots again. Lol.

So in total i had 9 shots, sihui had 8. We are so crazy.

When we got out of the club we can hardly walk properly so we have to hold on to each other. We almost decided to forgo the last train and head to Zirca, but there were still some soberness left in me to tell me i have to work the next day.

We headed in different directions so i went home alone, and i think on the train i was so drunk that i now only vaguely remember sihui was sms-ing me the whole time, trying to make sure i can get home safely. And i think i looked quite terrible cos ppl stared, partially cos i talked quite loud on the phone with sihui. LOL.

I reached home, talked some rubbish to my mum, bath and slept. Miraculously, i woke up on time today to make it for work feel energised though abit of hangover.

Really, we should do this more often. =]

For our June monthly affair, we went to Pulau Ubin.

We met at 9am (!), then took the ferry to the island. The first thing to do is to rent a bicycle ($7)! Too long never cycle so started abit wobbly.

The whole morning we cycled around some parts of the island, like Chek Jawa and beaches. Halfway thru, my sports shoe’s sole came off! Too long never wear already! =[ So tahan until reach the town area then bought a cheap but ugly slipper to wear.

Throughout the trip we saw wild boar, rabbits, lotus, sunflower, spider, durians, crabs, prawns, puppies and the thing that made me very happy upon seeing it was COKE! It was so hot the whole day even though it rained abit.

We had lunch at one of the seafood shops then headed off to one last beach before going home. The beach was quite small but there were 6 puppies living there! They are so unbelievably cute that we spent quite some time just looking at them. Hahaha..

At the end of everything, we all went home with full bodyache and pain in the ass. Lol. But it was fun!

I just started working! One week already! Finally found a job after so long. But it’s quite far, at Tiong Bahru. Have to travel one hour there.

Still need some time to get use to working cos i’m so tired when i get home everyday!

Yesterday went to watch fireworks at yishun with mindy, sihui and jason. It’s the closing for arts festival. The fireworks is WOW! It’s pratically surrounding you and you have to turn in circles to see everything and so close too!

My effing ex-boss still haven give me the rest of my March pay yet. Asshole. Keep delay and delay. Friday he asked me for my account number. I checked and he only transfered half. And i have to ask him how much he transfered then he tell me have to wait next week for the rest cos some of his cheques haven clear yet. Dont know what stupid cheques need so long to clear. And dont know how they be bosses with no money. $900 only have to drag for months. Asssssss.
